Visual Field Testing

Visual Field Testing

Visual field testing is a specialised eye examination used to measure peripheral (side) vision and to detect any blind spots or vision loss. This test is particularly important for diagnosing and monitoring conditions that affect the optic nerve and the visual pathways. We also have various devices with which we can carry out specific visual field examinations. With our corneal topographer we can detect abnormalities of the cornea, such as keratoconus, among other things. We can also use this device to fit medical contact lenses. Through meibography we can map and determine to what extent the meibomian glands are still present in your eyelids. Based on this, we can provide targeted treatment advice for our IPL treatments. Our clinic in Amsterdam uses advanced equipment for visual field testing to accurately assess changes in vision and to support early diagnosis and effective treatment of eye conditions.
